The past weekend was our big adventure with the Bosch hiking group. A 3 day hike in the Mangfallgebirge with 2 nights at mountain cabins and only the things I could carry on my back. So I packed
light and took only the most important things... Hiking and rain gear, a light sleeping bag, my ipod and tons of food.
Saturday morning at 6:45 am (!!!) we met at the Stuttgart train station to start the big trip. We were 20 people from many different Bosch locations in the Stuttgart area.
After a 5 hour train ride we reached Oberaudorf, a little town close to Rosenheim, and started to hike. About 1 hour later the rain was pouring down on us and I was completely soaked. That was the
second time I asked myself "Why am I doing this?" But a few hours later we reached our first destination, the Almgasthof Grafenherberg, which was in the middle of a ski area. It just looks so funny
all in green...
The next day we started around 9 am to climb 2 different mountains: Kleiner Traithen and Grosser Traithen . The hike was rough since it was still wet on the ground and the rocks were slippery.
After about 7 hours we finally reached our second destination: the Bruennsteinhaus. A cabin without showers and only rooms for 10 stinky hikers each (...) but fabulous food & schnaps and a
great view of the area.
On Monday it was time to say goodbye and hike back down to the valley. The view of the Bruennstein was great and really worth the torture but I have to say I was happy to finally sit in the train
on my way back to Stuttgart. It was a really nice trip and we had a lot of fun with all the new people we met.
